CARBON FIBER RECYCLER: OVEN HEATING SYSTEM
INTRODUCTION
Carbon fiber composites are utilized in many products across a wide range of industries. Aerospace companies such as Boeing use this material for the construction of their commercial aircraft wings. The problem concerned with this process is the excess carbon fiber trimmings that get discarded as waste. This project is tasked by the Joint Center for Aerospace Technology Innovation (JCATI) with the intent to repurpose carbon fiber composites through a Pyrolysis process, which vaporizes resin in composite material.
